Diwali puja notice for your society: Lakshmi puja invitation
Many societies hold a common Lakshmi puja on Diwali evening, at the temple, clubhouse or main lawn. Diwali 2026 falls on Sunday, 8 November. A clear invitation gets families there on time and tells volunteers what to bring.
What the puja notice should say
- Date, muhurat time and place in the first line. Confirm the muhurat with your priest; it varies by city.
- What residents can bring (flowers, diyas, sweets for prasad), or that everything is arranged.
- Prasad and aarti timing, so families who can only come briefly know when.
- One contact for volunteering or offering items.
- An open invitation to every family, whatever their tradition.
