Diwali pet and stray animal safety notice for your society

Every Diwali, societies see frightened pets slip out of gates, community dogs hiding under parked cars, and the occasional injury from a cracker thrown near an animal. Feeders and pet owners raise it with the committee every year. A short, calm notice before the festival (Diwali 2026 is Sunday, 8 November) sets a few simple rules and shows residents the committee has thought about it.

What the notice should cover

The firecracker timing and safety notices for the same week are in the free Diwali notice generator.

Checklist for the committee

Planning aid, not legal advice. This guide is a planning aid for society committees, not legal advice. Rules on firecrackers, noise, fire safety and use of common areas are set by courts, state governments, police and municipal authorities, and by your own society's bye-laws. They change, sometimes every year. Always check the current official order for your city before you post a notice.
