Diwali delivery and visitor entry notice for your society

In the week before Diwali (Sunday, 8 November 2026), deliveries spike: gift hampers, sweets, online orders, food. Guests arrive in the evenings, and security sees new faces all day. Without clear rules, residents get calls at odd hours and the gate backs up. A short notice, sent about ten days ahead, sets expectations for residents and guards alike.

Checklist for the committee

Planning aid, not legal advice. This guide is a planning aid for society committees, not legal advice. Rules on firecrackers, noise, fire safety and use of common areas are set by courts, state governments, police and municipal authorities, and by your own society's bye-laws. They change, sometimes every year. Always check the current official order for your city before you post a notice.
